Boy that Tony DuLac is one cool guy. I love him. He’s awesome…he should be on EVERY podcast.
And I don’t even know him, really, this isn’t secretly him or his alter-ego, Captain Anonymous.
Honest.

Okay, seriously though..great job, guys on the podcast. I had no idea my mic sounded so crappy, sorry. I’ll try to get it in better shape for any future podcasts I chime in on. Also, I’ll have to remember to slow down…I talk WAY too fast anyway.

Great editing job Vagabond. Good job to everyone on the podcast, it came out great! I’ll try not to be so boring on future podcasts
PS: I love how all the comments on Episode 3 are from the people who are actually IN the podcast.
March 18, 2008 at 6:52 am
Ha- yeah, we like to post a lot on our own page. Oh well. But in our defense: Max PC and Game Theory (two pretty damn big podcasts) hardly ever get comments numbering over 10; excluding staff posts. I would be interested in seeing how many people have downloaded each Fan Podcast episode so far though… Vagabond, is there any way to read the traffic data?
March 18, 2008 at 7:01 am
Yeah that’s weird Tony- your mic sounded fine during recording. I knew mine would be kinda crappy (not plugging it in right and keeping the speakers enabled tends to do that), but in your case, not sure what happened. Odd…
Maybe my version of Vista 64 mutated and crept through the pipes infecting your sound quality behind the scenes. I wouldn’t doubt it. Vista 64 is evil…

According to the FileFront page:
Pilot: 277 downloads
Episode 2: 72 downloads
Episode 3: 33 downloads
Episode 4: 0 downloads
It usually takes awhile for FF to update stats, but looking at the declined downloads makes me sad. Maybe Andy should advertise it again.
March 18, 2008 at 10:20 am
Yeah that’s strange. Hope that data isn’t entirely accurate… if they are: time to do some marketing. Know what would give those numbers a nudge? Will Smith actually showing up. Grrrr.
March 18, 2008 at 10:58 am
I’ve asked some of my friends on Steam if they’d listened to our episodes yet, and they’ve all said “Not yet.”.
March 18, 2008 at 11:45 am
Yeah it gives me a good laugh when I see the comments are all from people on the podcast. xD Oh well! I’m sure the world will spread eventually.
Thanks to all our awesome guests (Tony, Andy and Tyler)!

Maybe Filefront only counts people who are registered w/ it. Also, on a completly other subject, I’m thinking of buy S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Should I wait for clear sky, or get it soon?
March 18, 2008 at 5:29 pm
Guess I better chime in too. Haven’t listened to it yet due to my internet issues. Downloading now since Service Pack 1 doesn’t seem to be coming up on my update list for some reason.
March 18, 2008 at 5:47 pm
Why didn’t you guys tell me that every time I talked it was so freaking LOUD???
March 18, 2008 at 6:30 pm
It wasn’t. That’s what Pamela does when you’re the recorder, it boosts your mic volume.
March 18, 2008 at 6:58 pm
Man ‘dis bomb was ‘da shit mo frowgros.
March 18, 2008 at 7:04 pm
HEY!!! Although my comment was late, I still defended Andy. Give me some credit too!!!!!!! No just kidding, great podcast as always guys and I look forward to more in the future!
March 18, 2008 at 7:09 pm
The above comment was mine by the way and Andy, are you going to be a semi-regular on the podcast, kind of like Will Smith is on the PCG Podcast if that is a good comparison?

Havoc: you CAN change your keys in Hellgate. You could use ur completley and uterly messed up key combos.
March 20, 2008 at 6:48 am
In Hellgate, you can’t map Left Alt or the left and right mouse buttons. This decimates my control scheme. And it really annoys me when developers dictate distinctly limited options for movement and combat (World in Conflict did this as well). If I want to use F8 as my jump key and page down for backpedal (I don’t) that should be my prerogative. And as far as my keys being messed up, well- they seem to do pretty well for my frag counts in TF2…
March 20, 2008 at 10:34 am
Yeah – it might be an odd configuration, but I wouldn’t have Havoc any other way in TF2.
March 20, 2008 at 3:57 pm
o. yeah, I didn’t even know you weren’t using WASD in TF2.
March 20, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Nice job, guys! Everything about it was pretty much awesome, but the mic quality from some people was painfully bad. great interview, discussion and guests. Can’t wait for the next one…
March 20, 2008 at 5:35 pm
Yeah- my bad on the Mic. Not sure if you noticed, but about 3/4 of the way through, my voice magically got better. I’ve discovered it helps when you plug a headset into the correct jack and also turn the EXTERNAL speakers off. Fun!
March 20, 2008 at 6:29 pm
Yay Bob! Thanks for listening.
March 20, 2008 at 8:40 pm
I’m looking for a co-host for a podcast I am working on, Vagabond and Andy Bauman are planned to be guests on episode 1 but I need a more perminant co-host. add me on skype (black_dragonflight) if your interested.
March 20, 2008 at 8:45 pm
The first episode will be out on monday the 31st
March 21, 2008 at 6:28 am
Sounds cool Vengeance, I’ll certainly give it a listen. What kind of podcast is it?
March 21, 2008 at 11:17 am
Similar to PCGP and PCGFP just a general gaming and news podcast.
March 21, 2008 at 1:25 pm
Awesome man! Best of luck to you and your podcast! I will certainly listen to it.
March 21, 2008 at 3:00 pm
Alright. I’ll post a link to the download site when the first two podcasts are recorded but you will also be able to get it on iTunes.
March 24, 2008 at 8:13 pm
