I hope people forget this episode.

Hey it wasn`t that bad. Got a lot better as it went on… Dom’s mic realy needs to be fixed though.

Testes Mcgee really held the show together. Is there anything Testes can’t do? He’s a real trooper. Just don’t mention neutering around him- he gets a little sensitive.

Wow Vagabond- that’s some pretty damn good editing man. I’m kinda amazed this was even the same podcast we recorded. Keenan with the saving throw! Oh, but remind me to turn down my mic volume next week- it’s way to loud for this episode. Sorry ’bout that.

Thanks! I’m a perfectionist… I like getting things exactly as they should be. I did all I could for this episode.
Dom’s internet was messed up, that’s why his mic was all weird.

Hey Vagabond, how about next week I host and we both record a copy, just to be safe. My PC has more then enough horse power to record a little Skype chat
I’ll just have it save to my extra HDD or something.
March 12, 2008 at 12:49 pm
What the? Dammit Frost! I’ve been, like, all collecting news stories and stuff. I even told my wife I’d be hosting the show and she was all proud of me. *sigh…* Guess it’s back to failing miserably like normal. Guilt trip FTW!
March 12, 2008 at 12:52 pm
And my rig is a QX6850 8800 Ultra with a 10 meg fiber connection! I think I’m playing on the other team when you log into TF2 Frost. It’s on! Kidding.
March 12, 2008 at 1:43 pm
Oh no no no Havoc, I didn’t mean host the show, just I host the Skype chat on my PC since I have a decent connection.
I really want you to be the host of the show, you’d make a great one!
March 12, 2008 at 1:45 pm
And on second thought Havoc, perhaps you should host the chat conference as well
a 10mb fiber line is muuuuch better then my cable

Frost, I have a question about those DEM files you put up. It says it is RAR, and i can’t run it. Did you upload the wrong files, or was that how it was saved?
March 12, 2008 at 5:17 pm
You extract the .dem files from the .rar with WinRAR.
March 12, 2008 at 5:17 pm
Hey Blooddimond,
I archived the files into a .RAR so that they would be a smaller size whilest uploading and to avoid the possibility of corruption while uploading. You’ll need a RAR extracter like WinRAR (free) to open it an extract the two .DEM files (which you can then play in TF2 after placing them in the correct demo folder in your steam directory) by typing playdemo (demoname).
Hope it helps!

..And Vagabond beats me to it, with a much simpler explaination.
March 12, 2008 at 5:46 pm
o. :0 thanks!
March 12, 2008 at 5:56 pm
No problem! Thanks for listening to our podcasts, by the way!

Just finished watching, wish I had played then…

Vagabond, it actually wasnt that bad. It had a lot of editing to it, but it had some good in it. I liked it, but I think that this was the product of a series of unfortunate events. Next week will be much better though, im sure.

Sorry about my internet guys. I’m going to take it completely out of the equation on Sunday and record it at my in laws house. I’ll continue to do that until my ISP figures out what the hell is going on at my house.
March 12, 2008 at 8:51 pm
Dom: I wouldn’t bet on any help from your ISP concerning bandwidth speeds… if that is indeed the trouble. (I was a tech supervisor at an ISP in Vermont, trust me- I know the protocols concerning speeds, and it’s damn near impossible to get any reconciliation without outside help). Who’s you’re provider? I might be able to give you a decent troubleshooting shot; can you say exactly what the error / behavior is?

Actually, a guy came out today again. He re-wired everything (the guy that came out on Saturday seemed to screw everything up even worse) and set it up so that our box out in the yard got a “boost” from the ISP. I told him it seemed like we were only having trouble during prime hours (7-10 pm) and it seems like he got it all taken care of. Right now is about when I usually start having serious issues, and my internet is at 5 Mbps. I’m not holding my breath, but it looks like whatever he did fixed the problem. If this continues, I’ll probably just do this from home Sunday night, but you guys probably shouldn’t count on me for recording just yet. I want to make good and sure it’s fixed.
